Mission Statement

The mission of Ivy Vine Preschool is to grow extraordinary children by providing an environment for young children to thrive holistically while learning about Jesus and preparing for kindergarten.

Vision

Our goal is to create an environment where children thrive in all areas of development. By using a flexible curriculum that allows customization, Ivy Vine Preschool classrooms become a unique environment filled with play, hands-on experiences, and exploration to guide the academic and spiritual learning processes.

When our students graduate from Ivy Vine Preschool, they will know they are loved by Jesus, they will know how to share that love with others, and they will be ready to begin kindergarten.

Our teachers all love Jesus and are passionate about their calling to teach young children. Their goal is to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone partners in the learning experience.

Positive guidance strategies based on developmentally appropriate practices are used in the classroom. Communication with our families about the development and progress of each student is consistent and on-going throughout the school year.

Safety will always be the top priority of our administration at Ivy Vine Preschool. All of our teachers and administrators have passed federal, state and local level background checks and fingerprinting processes

Philosophy

We want our students to be successful in preschool and beyond. Therefore, all aspects of Ivy Vine Preschool, including classroom design, schedules, teaching, and discipline methods are based on developmentally appropriate practices. This allows children to be challenged in ways that enhance growth.

Our play-based curriculum provides a robust variety of fun and educational hands-on exploratory activities. It is flexible in allowing teachers to supplement additional experiences based on the interests of the students in each classroom. Within our Bible studies curriculum, we provide opportunities to learn about Jesus’ love for us and opportunities to share that love with others in our school and our community.

Curriculum

We use nationally recognized flexible and integrated curricula that balances academic learning with play; both essential elements of healthy childhood development.

We incorporate Christian faith-based teachings in our classroom environments. As part of our Bible studies we have many activities and experiences planned (including weekly chapel) to introduce young children to the blessings we receive from God and how to be a good steward of those resources.

Texas Rising Star

The Texas Rising Star program is a quality-based child care rating system that offers three levels of certification: 2-star, 3-star, and 4-star. Ivy Vine Preschool earned a 4-star designation in 2021, which requires us to maintain top scores in 5 categories:

  • Director and Staff Qualifications and Training

  • Caregiver-child Interactions

  • Curriculum

  • Nutrition and Indoor/Outdoor Activities

  • Parent Education and Involvement
