Our Educators

Ivy Vine Preschool maintains low student to teacher ratios and staffs each classroom with two degreed or highly experienced early childhood educators.

Educators are required to complete ongoing continuing education hours in topics such as child development, child guidance, and curriculum implementation. All administrators and educators maintain current CPR and first aid certifications.

Our History

Jennifer Stockemer began preparing Ivy Vine Preschool in 2018 for its opening in August of 2019.

During that time, many preparations were underway, but the most exciting milestone was naming the school. Our school got its name because when an ivy vine plant is turned away from light, it contorts in order to grow toward the light.

We pray that Ivy Vine Preschool is instrumental in helping our students grow toward the Light with that same determination.

Finally, Ivy Vine Preschool opened in August, 2019 and we quickly learned the importance of resilience. Early in 2020, we temporarily closed due to COVD-19.

Then, in early 2021 we were displaced from our original location due to the flooding damage caused by the winter freeze. We are now in our permanent home at 7701 Virginia Parkway in McKinney, Texas.

Our facility is perfect for us, and we are continually working to improve some of the bumps and bruises that come along with a 50+ year-old building.

We currently have five classrooms and three outdoor play spaces.

Our future plans include expanding our program into a second building on our property in the next several years.
